Finally:
Master the Danish Soft D
Learn the How and When when it comes to this seemingly impossible sound - and UP your confidence to speak Danish!
Training begins June 18th 2020 at 17.00
Have you ever felt like this...
Being new in Denmark means that you don't know a lot of words and expressions commonly used in typical daily situations, like casual conversations with colleagues over lunch, talking about your small everyday life problems with your Danish friends or asking your Danish in-laws about their summerplans. Not being able to smalltalk can be FRUSTRATING and you may feel LEFT OUT of the conversation. Does this sound like you...
- You are frustrated about your current ability to smalltalk in Danish...
- You are tired of always feeling insecure when you're having casual conversations with your colleagues over lunch...
- You are tired of not being able to speak your mind - and just say what you want to say - without always searching for the words...
- You wish your Danish friends or family could get to know the real you. That person who also has things to add to the conversation.
- You often feel left out - and sometimes even isolated - when seeing the others laughing over jokes or having vivid discussions.
- You feel stupid when you just sit there and you're tired of how you often just end up NOT saying anything at all.
- Long story short... You really want to be part of the conversation - but you just don't know how to.

Here’s what students are saying about Sigga's teaching in general

Ali Jenner
I have learnt a lot of new helpful words and phrases
I really enjoyed having the opportunity to speak a lot of danish and, when stuck on certain words or phrases, receiving help from Sigga on what to say, without me feeling stupid. I learnt a lot of new helpful words and phrases I can use everyday.
I would definitely recommend a course with Sigga to anyone wanting to learn danish in a laid back, fun and effective way. Especially those who need help to build their confidence in the language.
Sigga is a very nurturing teacher which is great for anyone feeling unsure about the language.

Good teaching and good results
Because we spoke a lot of Danish during the course, now I'm not afraid of using it in everyday life but also at work.
I didn't expect that I would start to use Danish that fast.
If someone is looking for good teaching and good results - he or she should choose lessons with Sigga.

I can finally communicate with my own relatives in Danish
What has exceeded my expectations since working with Sigga are two things specifically:
How effective the courses have been and the visible improvement after each class.
I can now understand what my daughter is saying at the dinner table, speak with her teachers, organize play dates with other danish children. I use it on an everyday basis and I feel it knocks down communication barriers. Not the least, I can finally communicate with my own relatives in Danish.
Truly a pleasant journey.
What’s in the training
When you invest in cracking the code to how YOU can start small talking in Danish, you can look forward to 90 minutes of practical and "straight away applicable" words and expressions, delivered to you by a top-motivated teacher. This is what you'll learn:
1
Part 1: The Ultimate Danish Small Talk Topic ABC
The topics the Danes small talk about are not rocket science. But it's always good to know which topics Danes like to small talk about - and which topics you definitely should stay clear of!
Why not stay on a good terms with the Danes, now that you're here anyway ;)
We therefore start the training by getting a quick overview of the most common Danish small talk topics.
2
Part 2: Kick off the conversation
Now you know which topics to small talk about. But how exactly do you do that?
In part 2, you'll learn practical and commonly used words and expressions you can use to start the conversation - even if you're not fluent in Danish!
You'll learn useful words and expressions to: Tell how you are, what you've experienced, how to show attention to others, how to talk about a current topic or event and how to bring up a previously discussed topic.
Learning these words and expressions is the essential foundation of all small talk in Danish!
3
Part 3: Show'em you're all ears
When the other person is talking, you listen, right? Yes - and no. The thing is, you can't just stand there like a stiff board. You need to actively let the other person know that you're listening.
When we're listening to someone talking, we express that we understood, that we sympathize, agree or disagree, we express surprise or shock, etc. All by using a whole array of specific words, sounds, exclamations and fixed expressions.
Learning some of the most common Danish feedback words and expressions, you'll find it easier to small talk in Danish - plus, you'll wow the Danes when you burst out with Danish insider expressions such as "Hold da op!" or "Ej, hvor surt!"
4
Part 4: Small Talk dialogue workshop
Before we finish the training, we'll put into practice what we just learned. Together, we'll construct a couple of dialogues on different topics, needing different small talk words and expressions.
You'll get a chance to put the newly acquired knowledge into practice - which is essential if you want to remember the new words - and to start using them in your actual IRL casual conversations with the Danes in your life!
Bonus
But wait! That's not all! When you sign up for Small Talk in Danish 101 you'll get these bonuses - on top of everything else!
A workbook
When you sign up for this online training, you'll also get a workbook.
The workbook, which will be a downloadable pdf, will contain the essential teachings from the training: examples of the most typical small talk expressions and dialogue examples.
The workbook will also come with exercises and answers so that you practice and consolidate what you learned in the training.
Knowing something is great, but being able to do something is what we want!
A 'How to Show'em You're Listening - Danish Style' Cheat Sheet
We only have so much time during the training to help you not seem like a stiff (and not interested) listener, so as an extra bonus for you, I'll give you a whole 2 page cheat sheet full of practical - and super typical - Danish words and expressions you can use to let the person who's talking to you know that you're all ears.
Learn the secret small words that the Danes use all the time, like: "Nå!" or "Præcis!" or "Nææ", along with a translation of the meaning(s) and with examples of how to use them.
You'll never seem stiff (and not interested) again!

That's about the same a dinner out would cost you - where you'd probably sit there watching the others speaking in Danish and not saying as much as you'd like to, like so many times before.
And it's definitely a lot less than what it would cost to hire a private tutor for one or a couple of private Danish lessons to teach you exactly what you learn in this training.
